Rustic Resque- Little Chute
A Hidden Treasure on a Country Road
Sometimes the best family memories happen when you make an unexpected stop along a country road — and that’s exactly how we ended up discovering Rustic Resque in Little Chute.
What we thought would be a quick browse turned into one of those “we could’ve filled the entire car” kind of visits. Every corner had something different — handmade decor, unique gifts, rustic pieces, and treasures you don’t find in big box stores.
Right now is actually a bittersweet time for the shop — the owners are preparing to retire, so everything in the store is currently on sale. You could feel the history and heart behind the place, and honestly… it made the visit feel even more special knowing how many years of creativity and community are wrapped into those walls.
What We Found (Because Everyone Found Something 😅)
❄️ Magnetic Hanging Snowflakes
These were one of my favorite finds — ceiling snowflakes that fold flat and snap together with magnets for easy storage. They’re lightweight but sturdy and will be perfect for winter decorating without needing giant storage bins, or to worry about them getting smashed.
🎨 Personalized Painted Canvases
My daughter spotted hand-painted canvases with her friend’s name on them — and that was it… they were coming home with us. Sweet, meaningful, and totally kid-approved.
🍺 Cast Iron Bottle Opener (Dad Approved)
And of course… my husband found a heavy-duty cast iron wall bottle opener that says, “The best beer is an open beer.” Solid, practical, and exactly the kind of rustic piece that makes you laugh while still being something you’ll use every day.
🔔 Harmony Ball “Chime” Necklaces in Chinese Keepsake Boxes
The two little ones found beautiful decorative boxes holding large marble-style necklaces that make a soft chime when you shake them. These are often called harmony balls or angel caller necklaces — little jewelry pieces with a calming bell inside. The kids were absolutely fascinated with the sound and the tiny treasure-box feel.
Why Rustic Resque Felt So Special
Rustic Resque isn’t just a shop — it’s the kind of place where you wander slowly because you’re afraid you’ll miss something tucked into a corner. There’s a mix of handcrafted pieces, rustic home decor, art, and unique items that clearly have stories behind them.
And knowing the owners are getting ready to retire makes this a really special time to visit. It felt less like shopping and more like stepping into someone’s creative journey — and we were lucky enough to take a little piece of it home with us.
Final Thoughts
If you love small shops, handmade finds, and those unexpected stops that turn into family memories — Rustic Resque is absolutely worth the visit. Just be warned… you might walk in planning to browse and walk out wishing you brought a bigger vehicle 😄
