doTERRA On Guard Wellness Tea Recipe for Kids and Families
🍯 Wellness Tea with My Kiddos:
Cold season has officially made its grand entrance — runny noses, sniffles, and all. Around here, that usually means someone’s sneezing, someone else is asking for another blanket, and I’m reaching for my oils.
One of our favorite cozy rituals (and one that’s actually become a comfort moment for my kids) is making “Wellness Tea” with doTERRA On Guard.
☕ What Is Wellness Tea?
It’s simple, soothing, and packed with immune-supporting goodness:
A mug of warm water
A spoonful of honey 🍯
A squeeze of fresh lemon 🍋
And just a tiny swirl of doTERRA On Guard (I dip a toothpick in the oil and stir it through — a full drop is way too strong for littles!)
That’s it. Simple, safe, and so comforting.
👧 Why We Love It
My kids call it their “superpower tea.”
They’ll line up their mugs, and we talk about how it helps our bodies stay strong and healthy — kind of like giving their immune systems a little superhero cape. 🦸♀️
It’s amazing how something so small can turn into a moment of connection. We’ll sit at the counter, chat about the day, and take a few slow sips together before bedtime.
The house smells like spicy oranges, cloves, and calm — that signature On Guard scent that instantly makes everything feel cozy and clean.
🌿 Why I Use doTERRA On Guard
As a mom of four, I’m always looking for natural ways to support our immune systems — especially during those back-to-school, busy, runny-nose seasons.
On Guard has a mix of wild orange, clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary — basically, fall in a bottle. It helps clean the air when diffused, and when used properly, it’s a great addition to simple, natural wellness routines.
I love that it gives me something practical to do when I feel like germs are taking over the house — diffuse, wipe, sip, repeat.
🏡 Turning It Into a Family Ritual
What started as a little “mom hack” has turned into one of my favorite family moments.
It’s not really about the tea — it’s about slowing down together, filling the kitchen with warm, comforting smells, and teaching my kids that taking care of ourselves can be simple and natural.
Now when the sniffles hit, one of my boys will grab the honey and say, “Mom, can we make our tea?” — and that alone feels like a small victory. 💛
